Contact Information. When you contact us using one of our online contact forms, register to receive news or updates, or send us any communication through the contact methods provided on the Sites, we receive the messages you send as well as the personal information you provide, such as your name, phone number, and email address.
Account and Toll Transaction Information. We generate and collect transaction details in connection with TollTag accounts, ZipCash payments, or other toll-related accounts and payments. This may include toll assessment and historical travel-related data associated with your account or a vehicle for which you are responsible, as well as payment card data, your name, phone number, billing address, email address, and any other information that you provide or that is generated from information you provide for account maintenance or payment processing purposes. In addition, if you have a TollTag or other account with us, you will be required to create a username and password. Note that it is your responsibility to secure and maintain the confidentiality of your username and password and that you may be responsible for any or all account activity using your username and password.
User-Posted Content. Some of the Sites may offer a user forum or other functionality that permits the posting of content by users. You should assume that any content you post will be public and will be publicly associated with your name or account username. We will likewise treat any such posts (and the association of the post with your name or account username) as public absent a clear statement to the contrary on the Site page(s) from which the post was made.
Log Data. We automatically gather Site usage data for analysis and security purposes, and we may use service providers to assist us in doing so. This may include collection and use of your IP address or other browser or device identifiers.
Some Internet browsers offer a “do not track” or “DNT” option that uses a DNT header to indicate the DNT preference setting on the browser. NTTA does not track your activity over time and across different websites or online services except as among NTTA’s Sites and as otherwise described herein, and we do not currently respond to browsers’ DNT signals with respect to the Sites. We do not permit our third-party service providers to collect information from the Site for other websites or for their own purposes other than as described in the preceding paragraph.
Job Application Information. We may collect names, addresses, phone numbers, job history, references, and other information you submit if you use the Sites to apply for employment with NTTA. Such information is used for purposes of evaluating your application (which may include contact with third parties), and to contact you in connection with that application. Your application and related information may be entered using an online form provided to us by a third party. Actions you take using social media may be reflected in a manner visible to others. For example, if you “Like” us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter, Instagram, or YouTube, others may be able to see that you have done so.
The collection and use of information on social media websites and applications is governed by the separate privacy policies of those websites and applications. Please remember that, as a general rule, any content or information posted on the NTTA page on Facebook or on social media pages or channels such as Twitter, Instagram, or YouTube is public. In addition, please note that, to the extent permissible under the applicable policies of the social media site, we may re-publish posts from a Social Media Page on one or more of our Sites.
We may receive personal information from a social media site platform or application when you connect through a social media feed, post content, or otherwise interact with us using social media tools. For example, we may receive basic Facebook account information (name, email address, gender, birthday, current city, and profile picture URL) through the NTTA page on Facebook. Also, when you “like,” “subscribe to,” or send a “tweet” to us through a social media channel, we may receive your username, handle, and any other available personal information from the social media site or application. All non-public information received from social media sites and applications is treated and used in the same manner and for the same purposes as described in this Policy with respect to similar information we obtain through the Sites.
Vendor and Service Provider Information. In addition to information about our customers and individual visitors to the Sites, we may collect information from prospective or actual service providers and vendors using the Sites. This information may include contact information, information about prospective offerings, and other information needed to evaluate prospective offerings. We may use this information to evaluate proposals and offerings and in any other manner permitted or required by law.
Data Collected in Connection with the TollPerks Program. As part of the TollPerks customer rewards program, NTTA collects, uses, and provides information to the third-party program administrator for the purpose of administering the program. This information includes personal data such as a program participant’s name, TollTag account number, and transaction data (toll locations, dates, times and/or amounts, but not including any payment card data).
We may use personal information as well as other data for research purposes, and to improve the Sites and our other services. In addition, we may use some of the information that we collect concerning you in order to present you with information concerning services or other offerings and information that may be of interest to you. We may retain and use communications, transaction details, your IP address, and other information in order to maintain audit trails for security purposes.
In addition to the sharing of personal information as discussed above, we disclose personal information as necessary for our business operations, such as in connection with providing assistance to you or processing your transactions. We may also disclose information concerning you if required to do so by law (which, in some circumstances, may include responding to requests made pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act) or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, to enhance public safety, or to protect and defend our rights or property, or the rights or property of others. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 18 or knowingly allow such persons to register for an online account or provide personal information through the Sites. If you are a parent or guardian who believes that your minor under the age of 18 has submitted personal information to us, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
